ISSUES
LOWER PROPERTY TAXES
I'm running for City Council Place 1 to fight for lower property taxes. Every year, they rise by 10%, making life in West Lake Hills more expensive. These taxes are meant to improve our schools and services, but we’re not seeing a 10% improvement—schools are closing instead. That’s not right.
West Lake Hills residents deserve an educational dividend—a return on our investment, not just a reallocation of our tax dollars. I will make it my mission to work with the City Council, the Mayor, and Travis County to address this issue head-on. Together, we’ll find solutions to ensure our tax dollars serve our community the way they should.
FIRE HARDENING
Fire hardening our community isn’t optional—it’s a necessity. We all saw what happened in Pacific Palisades, a community much like ours. Wildfire risk is real, and mitigation must be a priority. Preventing such a disaster is the ultimate form of conservation.
Any funds we recover from the county should stay in West Lake Hills—invested in fire suppression technology, better equipment and training for our Fire Department, and proactive clearing of deadwood and small junipers. If elected, I will make sure we take the necessary steps to protect our homes, our land, and our future.
